Millions of dots used to illustrate the conceptual version of AUM.
AUM is a representation of the divine and signifies one supreme power which is beyond time and space. It is the seed and sound of the whole creation. It has reverberations which effect us immensely. The symbol AUM in my illustration comes from a sanskrit script and comprises of:
1. Absolute state:
Represented by crescent moon and the dot is the state of ultimate peace. There is no past, present or future here..
2. Waking state:
Represented by Lord Bhramha. I have used seed as a metaphor to represent beginning of life.
3. Dream state:
Represented by Lord Vishnu who creates a balance in the universe – Plants are a true paragon of balance. They thrive with just the right amount of sunlight, water and oxygen.
4. Unconscious state:
Also known as death, represented by Lord Shiva who is known to be the deity of destruction.
